Emily has a bachelor's and master's degree in nursing from the University of Iowa and a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Aspen University. She is a dedicated and experienced neonatal nurse and nurse leader with 26 years of nursing experience. She spent fifteen years at the bedside providing high quality patient care to NICU patients and their families and becoming an expert clinician. This experience provided a solid foundation for becoming a strong nurse leader and she has been in leadership roles for the past 11 years. Safety and quality are the cornerstone of providing safe care and through leadership roles she focuses on excellence. She has led numerous quality improvement and EBP initiatives and is directly responsible for leading teams to ensure safe, high-quality care. Topics of interest are simulation and DEI.
