Whitney Zachritz MSN, CRNP, RN is the Clinical Practice Leader in the Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. In this role, Whitney is accountable for nursing practice, quality and patient safety, professional development, and nursing research in the ICN. During her tenure, Whitney has led numerous quality initiatives in the ICN including: standardizing the management of apnea and bradycardia, CLABSI reduction through nurse driven rounds, reducing time to antibiotics in late onset sepsis, and initiating prenatal consults for pregnant women with OUD among many others. Her work has been recognized and presented at PAS, APA & NANN and published in Pediatrics, American Journal of Nursing and Advances in Neonatal Care. Whitney received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at the University of Michigan and her Master’s Degree in Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. Whitney is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
