Jennifer Roman, BA, BSN, RN, CBC is a clinical nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Systems and Management from Boston College, and later went on to pursue nursing after a career in Quality Improvement and Regulatory Compliance for the financial services industry. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Simmons University in Boston, MA and began her nursing career in maternal-newborn nursing over seven years ago. Jennifer has been a neonatal nurse working in the Intensive Care Nursery for more than five years and has remained an active particpant in unit council, and unit improvement measures and quality initatives including Time to Antibiotics, Hand Hygiene and MRSA prevention, Kangaroo Care, NOWS/NAS & Eat, Sleep, Console, and is the founder and team lead for COPE.
