Dr. Michelle Ferrant is the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the level III Intensive Care Nursery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree at Rush University as a Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist and focused on the implementation of an in-situ simulated neonatal resuscitation program. She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing Education and Nursing and Healthcare Leadership at Duke University and her Bachelors of Science at Thomas Jefferson University. She is certified in Perinatal Loss Care, and has been an active clinician and unit based leader in bereavement care in her 18-year neonatal career. Michelle also currently serves at the President of the Delaware Valley Association of Neonatal Nurses, her local NANN chapter.
