Dr. Melissa Heitzman is an Associate Professor in the Henry Predolin School of Nursing, Business, and Health Sciences at Edgewood College in Madison, WI. Dr. Heitzman has a background in pediatrics, public health, and maternal/child health. She was a Breastfeeding Champion in a pediatric clinic in Madison, WI, helping to assist families with breastfeeding difficulties. Her scholarship focus is maternal, child, and infant nutrition with a focus on breastfeeding.
Dr. Joy Henderson, PhD, RNC-NIC, CPNP is a tenure track Assistant Professor in Undergraduate studies at the Lienhard School of Nursing in the College of Health Professions at Pace University in New York City. Dr. Henderson has been the Manager of the Regional Perinatal Center programs at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical Center/Alexandra Cohen Hospital at the New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City for the past 13 years. She was President of the New York State Perinatal Association (NYSPA), is a long-standing member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN), a founding member and current Education Chair of the New York City Chapter of NANN, (NYCANN). Dr. Henderson has published several articles on perinatal care and has developed and continues to coordinate and provide numerous perinatal and neonatal educational courses for health care professionals.
Dr. Nisha Nair is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at California State University, Fresno. Dr. Nair practices as a women's health nurse practitioner and her scholarship focus on nursing education and developing and managing instructional pedagogies to create a student-centered environment.
