It is so important to care for patients in a way that is best for their unique needs. We learn this when it comes to religion and spiritual practices, so why isn’t it a priority to care for their physical needs in relation to their culture? Caring for patients and families in a way that celebrates their culture allows them to feel understood and appreciated.

Describe a few ways to start the conversation about preferred hair care with parents.
Identify tools/products that might be best to use on a baby with ethnic hair.
