Developmental care has become one of the major facets of nursing practice for our most premature babies in the NICU. Most premature babies undergo phototherapy for jaundice, but are often treated with lights and blankets that were designed for term babies. This QI project addresses both of these needs, creating developmental support the premature baby while offering adequate phototherapy.

Describe the use of phototherapy for neonatal jaundice
Describe the phototherapy guideline for neonates <30 weeks
Explain how changes to phototherapy guidelines improved developmental positioning
