Rapid clinical change poses challenges for nurse education when complex new procedures or treatment-eligible populations are introduced. In addition, it is easy to fall into the same old routine for nursing education roll outs. Utilizing the same singular method over and over gets very repetitive and you run the risk of nurses not retaining the information you're sharing. When you break that cycle and utilize multiple methods of education, you meet the needs of learners across the board. A multimodal education approach allowed for implementation of a novel renal replacement therapy in the Neonatal/Infant Intensive Care Unit of a large pediatric institution in under 6 months.
