Ardis Hanson, PhD, MLIS, AHIP, is the Assistant Director for Research & Education at the USF Health Libraries and liaison to the USF College of Nursing. Her research focus is on language and social interaction, that is, how language is used in everyday practice to negotiate claims and identities, from behavioral health services and policy research to how work is accomplished in virtual teams. She has over 25 years of experience in health and behavioral health services. Dr. Hanson is the incoming chair-elect for the Translational Research Caucus of the Medical Library Association and currently serves as the chair of the Association of Caribbean University, Research, and Institutional Libraries (ACURIL) Evidence-based Practices in Health Roundtable.
