Senior Librarian

Jaclyn Vialet, MLS, AHIP, is a Senior Health Science Librarian at North Shore University Hospital. Prior to this role, she was the solo-health sciences librarian and the director of the Health Education Resource Center for the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, at St. John’s University. During her tenure as the director, she converted the center’s capabilities to those that offer reference, research support, and technical support services, as well as engages in collection development and information literacy activities. Jaclyn also served as a member of the college’s Library Committee and was the liaison to the Marketing and Communications department.
As a member of Medical Library Association, Jaclyn is a member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals, and is also serving a three-year term as a member of the Professional Recruitment & Retention Committee, where she is currently serving as Past-Chair. She is also an active member of the the NY/NJ Chapter of MLA. She has served as the co-chair of the Programing Committee in 2019, and is currently on the Continuing Education Web, and Annual Meeting Planning Committees.
