Education and Outreach Coordinator

Kiara Comfort is the Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Network of the National Library of Medicine Midcontinental Region. She works at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She earned her Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Missouri. Prior to becoming a librarian she worked in the health care field for nine years.
She is a member of the Medical Library Association (MLA), the Midcontinental Chapter of the Medical Library Association (MCMLA) where she serves on its Advocacy Committee, and Junior Board Member of ICON Library Consortium.
Her interests include research on equity, diversity, and inclusion and how libraries can advocate to be more inclusive in their EDI programming.
