Kate E. Bright, MA, MFA, joined the University of Vermont, Dana Medical Library, in 2015 as an Office Support Generalist, Assistant to the Director and Chief Communications Coordinator for the library. She has a background in art and design and worked as an art educator at the Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vermont prior to her time at UVM. In recent year at Dana, she has engaged in much committee work and has been heavily immersed in creating policies, planning, exhibit curation, and communicating topics on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It is of great interest to her to evaluate and update academic libraries’ structures of functioning to be more inclusive both within health science communities and beyond.
