Robyn Reed, MA, MLIS, AHIP is a Biomedical Informatics and Emerging Technologies, Assistant Librarian in the Harrell Health Sciences Library in the Penn State College of Medicine. In this capacity, she supports biomedical basic sciences and clinical research initiatives by serving as the liaison to the basic sciences departments in the College of Medicine. Her research interests are in the areas of biomedical informatics, bioinformatics, and translational medicine, looking at the information and data needs of investigators. She serves on a number of library and research-based committees at her home campus, Penn State University Libraries, and the MLA Medical Informatics Section. Prior to becoming a librarian, she was employed as a biomedical researcher. She holds a Master’s degree in Pharmacology from SUNY Buffalo, and an MLIS and a graduate certificate in biomedical informatics from the University of Pittsburgh. She recently completed a graduate certificate from Penn State in Business Analytics.
