Sarah Clarke, MSLS, AHIP is the Medical Reference Librarian at the Darnall Medical Library at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC). At WRNMMC, Ms. Clarke serves on the Hospital Ethics Committee, is the library liaison to the Department of Quality and Patient Safety, created and maintains the DML COVID-19 LibGuide, and manages the hospital's mobile app, MilMed. Ms. Clarke joined the WRNMMC team in 2019, after completing the Associate Fellowship program at the National Library of Medicine. From 2011-2018, she was employed at Fort Detrick, working for the Office of Research Protections Office at the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, and later at the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases Library. She has a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MSLS) from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Clarion PA, and a BA in English with a minor in Women's Studies from the University of Maryland University College, Adelphi MD. Ms. Clarke is the 2020 Rittenhouse Award Recipient for her research report, "Data Sharing Barriers During Infectious Disease Outbreaks." She is a member of AHIP and has an advanced Disaster Information Specialization from MLA. She is the 2021-2022 Chair of the Federal Libraries Caucus.
