Joana Fernandez (MLIS) is a Medical Librarian at tBaptist health South Florida. She graduated from Library and Information Sciences at the University of Havana in 2001 and ten years later earned a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Sciences at the University of South Florida. Her profession has led her to be an intern at the Rare Books Collection of the Jose Marti National Library, a Reference Librarian at the University of Havana, a page at the Miami-Dade Public Library, a library assistant at the University of Miami, and the campus librarian at Touro College South. Right before being a “pineapple” she was a Reference and Instructional Librarian at NSU. In August 2018, she embraced the medical field and joined the Library and Knowledge Services team at BHSF.
