My name is Jessica Salinas, MSI and I am a medical librarian with Baptist Health South Florida. I entered into the medical library setting by chance, starting off as a library coordinator. My interest in medical librarianship was piqued right from the start. It was inspiring to see how a medical library plays such an important role in delivering information and evidence-based research to clinicians who aim to provide the best possible care to their patients. I enjoyed my work so much that I decided to go to graduate school and become a medical librarian. Some of my main interests in my profession are technology and scholarly dissemination. I am a native of South Florida and, as such, have a great love and respect for the beach. I enjoy reading, Netflix binge-watching, and listening to all types of music genres.
