Melanie Sorsby, MLIS is the Medical Librarian at Covenant Health System in Lubbock, Texas, where she works with the medical staff, Covenant School of Nursing, and the Research Council. Prior to this, she worked as a Science Librarian at the Research Library of Los Alamos National Laboratory. She is interested in promoting the use of graphic medicine in the clinical hospital setting to promote wellness in healthcare professionals and the pertinence and application of ancient medicine in current medical practice. She earned her Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and has a BA with honors in Classical Studies from the University of New Mexico.
