Mariana Lapidus is a research coordinator at the MCPHS Iniversity Boston campus library. Mariana has worked as a reference librarian at the MCPHS University since 2001, when she graduated from Simmons Colleges (Boston) with MSLIS degree. Mariana has a significant experience working at academic and medical libraries in the U.S. and Russia, where she earned her baccalaureate degree in Library and Information Science from the Academy of Culture (St. Petersburg). Being a liaison to the School of Pharmacy and the Forsyth Dental School at MCPHS, Mariana is actively involved in teaching required and elective information literacy courses for pharmacy and dental hygiene students. Her research interests include integrating bibliographic instruction in higher education courses, drug information searching and evaluation, as well as complementary and alternative medicine information resources. Mariana is an active member of MLA, AACP, ACRL/NEC and NAHSL.
