Hope Kelly, Ph.D. joined the faculty of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 2020 as the Online Learning Librarian. Her current role serves the two major libraries at the university, specifically the Monroe Park Campus and the Medical College of Virginia.
Prior to coming to VCU, she was at the University of Virginia as an Assistant Professor of Instructional Design and Technology. While there, she mentored faculty on the application of technological and methodological approaches to support positive psychological engagement and deep transfer of learning. Her work as a practitioner and scholar of educational technology began at the University of Florida. While at Florida, she partnered in the growth of instructional design roles at one of the largest universities in the United States.
Kelly completed her doctoral degree in Educational Technology at the School of Teaching and Learning at the University of Florida, where she also earned her BA in Anthropology. She received her master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Florida State University.
