Andrea Kepsel is a Health Sciences Educational Technology Librarian at the Michigan State University Libraries. Andrea is the liaison to the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Animal Science, the Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics Program, the Department of Biomedical Engineering, and the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. Prior to becoming a librarian and joining MSU in 2011, she worked as a molecular biologist at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She is professionally active at the local, state, and national levels and is currently a member of the MLA Research and Evidence-Based Practice Curriculum Committee and represents the Animal and Veterinary Information Specialist Caucus in the MLA Education Domain Hub. She is also a senior member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP). Andrea’s research interests include information literacy, instructional design, evidence-based practice, and accessibility, diversity, and inclusion in libraries and education.
