The landscapes of the cryosphere, including the alpine, Arctic, and Antarctic regions, are home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. From Arctic foxes to emperor penguins, the ecology of these unique regions is a burgeoning area of study. The climate and geomorphology of the cryosphere is key to population and species trends as well as the evolution of species that has brought us to where we are today. Therefore, this is a key area in which geosciences and ecology intersect. At this networking events, we invite researchers of all career stages in these related disciplines, as well as attendees that are generally interested in this nexus, to join us for an informal conversation regarding the ecology of the cryosphere. The organizer will begin with an introduction and any interested folks can give a brief description of their research. Later in the event, breakout rooms for the Arctic, Antarctic, and alpine regions will be formed, as well as any other overarching themes that attendees give voice to. The goal of the event is to foster interdisciplinary and international collaborations which can lead to future outputs.
