Scientific communities like the Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP) and others depend on volunteer contributions to survive and thrive. Spending the last ten years as ESIP staff, I knew that these contributions are highly valuable, but I didn’t have a way to quantify and acknowledge them. At PIDapalooza 2020, Richard Wynne, Rescognito founder, gave the first live demo of Rescognito. One key feature shared was that organizations with RORs could give individuals credit. In late 2020, I piloted Rescognito for communities and this presentation will share how that made the invisible, visible.
