Can you take an in-person internship, make it virtual, and still offer an immersive, fun, worthwhile experience? The Woods Hole Partnership Education Program (PEP) went virtual in 2020, and it was as successful online as it is in-person. In this presentation we will explain why we went virtual in 2020 and 2021, how we adapted all components of our program, and what insights we can offer other programs facing the virtual challenge. The good news is: virtual internships can be worthwhile experiences, bridging gaps in accessibility and providing opportunities to broader audiences!
