Sarah is a MS student in Biology at Northern Michigan University studying the ecological causes and consequences of gut microbiome variation in brown bears across Alaska. Prior to her graduate assistantship, Sarah spent 10 years working in wildlife research and management with a variety of federal, state, and non-profit organizations across the United States. After completing her MS degree, Sarah plans to work as a wildlife scientist at the federal level, conducting science that will lead to advances in our basic understanding of the natural world and contribute in meaningful ways to enhance the conservation and management of diverse species.
