Department of Forestry, Mississippi State University
After earning an M.S. at the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences at University of Washington I worked for GreenWood Resources Inc., a timber investment management organization (TIMO) for eight years. While working for GreenWood, I earned my PhD in the department of Forest Ecosystems and Society at Oregon State University. Upon completing my terminal degree I joined the faculty at Mississippi State University's Department of Forestry. My primary research interests are silviculture and ecosystem services. I am also interested in research topics at the fringe of theses subjects. For example, ecological economics, environmental ethics, carbon accounting, and biodiversity/ecosystem function relationships. I enjoy collaborating across disciplines and the challenge of synthesizing ideas from diverse subjects into coherent research products.
