Laurel M. Brigham is a 4th year Ph.D. candidate at the University of Colorado, Boulder who is interested in how landscape-level heterogeneity, driven by microhabitats, influences plant persistence under global change. She has worked in the Mediterranean ecosystem of California, an artificial rainforest in Arizona, the tropical rainforests of Costa Rica, a hardwood forest in New Hampshire, and the alpine of Colorado. Upon completing her graduate program in May 2022, Brigham aspires to return to California and pursue a career in conservation.
