Gianmarco O'Brien, DDS, Inc.
Dr. Gianmarco O’Brien is from San Francisco, California. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Combined Sciences at Santa Clara University. After college, Dr. O’Brien worked at MicroDental Laboratories as a dental technician. He earned his D.D.S. from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He was inducted as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Tau Kappa Omega Dental Honor Societies, as well as the Phi Kappa Phi National University Honor Society, which is reserved for the top three overall graduates of each class. Following dental school, Dr. O’Brien pursued training in the dental specialty of Prosthodontics. He was accepted into the Advanced Graduate Prosthodontics Program at UCLA School of Dentistry, and completed his residency earning his specialty certificate. At the time, UCLA only accepted two residents per year from a worldwide application pool. As a Prosthodontist, he has expertise in working with complex interdisciplinary treatments and has a reputation for creating aesthetic oral reconstructions utilizing dental implants, crowns, veneers and all types of removable or fixed dentures. In addition to teaching the pre-doctoral dental students, Dr. O’Brien also taught as a faculty member at the UCLA Center for Aesthetic Dentistry with Dr. Ed McLaren, a post-doctoral program for dentists seeking additional training specifically in aesthetic dentistry. Having training as a laboratory technician gives Dr. O’Brien a unique perspective when treatment planning and executing both aesthetic and reconstructive cases.
Dr. O’Brien has published in the field of prosthodontics nationally and internationally and lectures regularly in California. His presentations always include prosthodontic tips and technics that both restorative and surgical colleagues can use in daily practice.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society.
