The speaker has been practicing in Marietta for the last 20 years with Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery. He has been an executive member of the committee that manages this practice for 10 years and is a key member of AMG Management, the oral surgery business consultants. He brings considerable clinical acumen and dental business expertise to the group.
The speaker earned his DDS and completed a general practice residency in hospital dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh. He then completed his surgical training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, N.Y., and a fellowship in advanced surgical training cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgery in Columbus, Miss., at Baptist Hospital. He attends and conducts study clubs regularly to keep his surgical skills up-to-date and to provide patients with the most current information. He has contributed to the literature of implant and cosmetic facial surgery.
Dr. Schaner routinely volunteers at local dental clinics, including Ben Massell and Good Samaritan, and participates in medical mission trips to help those in need.
