Bonjin Koo is a Ph.D. candidate in Animal Science under the supervision of Dr. Martin Nyachoti at the University of Manitoba. Bonjin is orginally from South Korea and obtained his BSc. Agriculture with a major in Animal Science from Chungnam National University in 2008. He received his M.Sc. at the University of Manitoba, where he conducted a project on nutritional strategies to save feed costs in nursery pig production, under the supervision of Dr. Nyachoti. His current study focuses on dietary functional amino acids supplementation to enhance the gut health of nursery pigs. Both his M.Sc. and doctoral research are parts of the Swine Cluster 2 and Swine Cluster 3 research projects funded by Swine In novation Porc. Since beginning his graduate studies. Bonjin has published 16 papers in peer-reviewed journals either as a lead author or co-author.
