Graduate Assistant
Tarleton State University
Lauren Clark is an animal science master's student at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. She is slated to complete her degree in August 2021. Her thesis research focuses on microRNAs that affect bovine spermatozoic motility. Her passion for animal reproduction was intensified after an internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, KY, during the foaling and breeding season under Dr. Jaye McCracken. After graduating with honors and an outstanding undergraduate award from Tarleton State University, she accrued more field experience at a veterinary clinic prior to returning to academia. For the past two years, she oversaw the animal science genetics laboratories and guest lectured as needed. Her future career goal is to obtain a teaching position to prepare the next generation of agriculturists. She spends her free time volunteering with teenagers, playing the violin, and hiking with her dog, Felicia.
