Dr. Guillermo Scaglia is a Professor of Ruminant Nutrition and Forage Systems at the LSU AgCenter. Scaglia has published more than 230 publications, including 60 journal articles, book chapter, 40 proceedings, 75 abstracts, and over 60 mass media articles. Scaglia has secured 3.5 million dollars in extramural funding through multiples USDA-NIFA, SARE, and CIG grants. Scaglia’s program is nationally and internationally recognized. He is serving on the editorial board for Applied Animal Science and Crop Science and was member of the editorial board for the Journal of Animal Science. Scaglia is currently serving as an Associate Editor for Crop Science (won the Outstanding Associate Editor Award in 2017), received the American Forage and Grassland Council Merit Award in 2016, and the Denver T. and Ferne Loupe Extension Team Award at the LSU AgCenter in 2013. Scaglia has conducted research and support programs overseas for beef and dairy producers in Central and South America.
