R.V. Nekrasov is a leading specialist in Russia in the nutrition of farm animals and feed technology, combining active creative scientific work directly with its implementation in agricultural production. Under his leadership, the fundamental principles of nutrition of farm animals are being developed. Work is being carried out to improve the feeding standards of ruminant and monogastric animals, new indicators of nutrients, trace elements and vitamins, their forms are being studied and introduced into the rationing system. He conducts extensive scientific research to improve the quality of basic feed, optimize the nutrition of farm animals based on the research and study of the effectiveness of using new types of feed resources and preparations of biologically active substances of a new generation in the diets of cattle and pigs. Based on the analysis and study of available feed products using the latest achievements of biotechnology, he developed promising highly effective recipes for enriching feed additives, the use of which in the composition of compound feeds can significantly increase the productivity of livestock, improve the reproductive abilities and productive longevity of animals while maintaining their health.
