Kortney is a current PhD student in Dr. Katharine Wood's lab at the University of Guelph studying fibre digestibility, feed efficiency, and methane emissions in beef heifers. She has recently completed her MSc investigating how maternal nutrition during late gestation influences beef steer offspring growth in the feedlot, carcass characteristics, and meat quality.
