Ajasa Afees received his BS in Animal Physiology from the Federal University of Agriculture,
Abeokuta, Nigeria in 2015. He is currently on a Bilateral Education Agreement scholarship,
studying Animal Husbandry (M.S) at the University of Debrecen, Hungary. Afees’ research
focuses on the estimation of genetic parameters for weaning weight in Hungarian Simmental
cattle. During his time in graduate school, he has attended several conferences across Europe. He
is a 2021 recipient of the International Livestock Congress Student Travel Fellowship.
