Dr. Molly C. Nicodemus is an associate professor in the Animal & Dairy Sciences Department at Mississippi State University and has been teaching at Mississippi State University since the fall of 2020 after completing her PhD at Michigan State University. During her time at Mississippi State University, she has co-authored the curriculum for the Animal & Dairy Sciences Companion Animal Management Certificate through Distance Education and the Pre-Vet Med Tech Concentration for the ADS BS degree program and is the advisor for the Pre-Vet Med Tech Concentration. She has developed ten ADS courses focused in equines and/or companion animals including three courses designated as community engaged learning (CEL) courses through the Center of Community-Engaged Learning. Her CEL courses are dedicated to students volunteering for various animal assisted activities and therapy programs throughout the state. Outside of the University, Dr. Nicodemus is the state youth advisor for two breed associations where she works to include youth from underrepresented populations including being an advocate for the challenged riders program for these associations.
