My name is Hunter Ford and I am a PhD student at Oregon State University. Much of my work is focused on nutrigenomic interactions in ruminants, particularly the interaction between bioactive compounds in forages and transcription factors involved in the antioxidant response and animal health. By identifying feed components that can specifically target different gene networks, animals can be fed with more precision which will hopefully lead to healthier and more efficient ruminant production systems.
