Ph.D Candidate
Department of Animal Science, University of California, Davis
Kwangwook Kim is a Ph.D. candidate in Animal Biology Graduate Group at University of California, Davis. His research focuses on understanding the potential effects of a wide range of dietary ingredients and other factors on pig health. He is currently working on the efficacy of feed additives on gut health of weanling pigs experimentally infected with E. coli. He also interested in antibiotic resistance in agriculture and the risk to animal and human health. During his Master’s program in Animal Biology Graduate Group at University of California, Davis, Kwangwook conducted disease challenge study to evaluate dietary β-glucan, which could improve disease resistance and alleviated post-weaning diarrhea of weaned pigs by enhancing gut barrier function and immunity.
