Ilina L.A., PhD, author of more than 150 scientific papers, incl. monographs, patents, has significant experience in the study of microbiomes of the gastrointestinal tract of farm animals (reindeer and other ruminants, poultry, pigs, minks, rainbow trout, mice, rats), feed for farm animals (silage, hay, mixed feed, etc. .). Under the leadership of L.A. Ilina methods of molecular biological studies of animal microbiota, methods of mathematical and statistical processing of the results obtained using metagenomic methods of NGS-sequencing, T-RFLP and real-time PCR have been developed and successfully applied.
For the first time in Russia, the analysis of the expression of genes associated with the resistance of the organism in the tissues of the intestines and oviducts of laying hens was optimized and carried out.
Research is being actively carried out in the direction of assessing the effectiveness of various drugs (feed antibiotics, probiotics, feed enzymes, etc.) that affect the microflora of the gastrointestinal tract, the health and productivity of a number of farm animals, including ruminants and poultry.
The knowledge gained formed the basis for the development of a series of feed additives and technologies that affect the productivity and health of farm animals and poultry.
In 2017, Ilina L.A. was awarded the title of Laureate of the Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology for "For the development of modern technologies to increase the productivity of farm animals, improve the quality of livestock products, effective protection of ecosystems, taking into account the regulation of the microbiome."
Under the leadership of L.A. Ilina research is underway under the grant of the Russian Science Foundation No. 17-76-20026 Rangifer tarandus rumen microbiocenosis of the Arctic regions of Russia as a fundamental basis for obtaining promising biotechnologies for farm animals (2017-2022).
