I am Dr. Jennifer Thomson. I am an Associate Professor in Animal Genetics/Genomics at Montana State University. My research focuses on the physiology underlying economically important traits in livestock. I completed a BS and MS degree in Animal Science from Oregon State University. I completed a PhD degree in Animal Science from Washington State University with Dr. John McNamara. I did postdoctoral research at Washington State University, the USDA - Beltsville, University of Maryland, and University of Alberta before taking a faculty position at Montana State University in 2012.
