Dr. Vinicius Gouvea is an Assistant Professor of Ruminant Nutrition and Health at the Department of Animal and Range Sciences, NMSU. His research program focuses on beef cattle production and health, including feedlot nutrition, nutritional physiology, and relationships between nutrition and animal health/immunology. Prior to joining NMSU, Dr. Gouvêa worked for the animal health and nutrition industries, primarily in Brazil and other Latin American countries. He was responsible for strategic developing products and technologies for feedlot cattle through innovation projects combining basic and applied research.
