I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. I earned a B.Sc. degree in biological science at Sookmyung Women’s University in South Korea, and an M.Sc. degree majoring in animal science at Seoul National University in South Korea. The thesis of my M.Sc. degree was related to the effect of feline grooming behavior on apparent digestibility in domestic cats. Besides, I conducted a feeding trial in piglets as well. I worked as a research associate in the department of animal science at South Dakota State University in the USA, conducting research projects in a swine nutrition field. I have industrial experience as procurement & nutritionist at Harim Pet Food in South Korea, designing human-grade extruded or oven-baked dry pet foods. Now I'm pursuing a Ph.D. in pet food processing and companion animal nutrition at Kansas State University under the supervision of Dr. Aldrich.
