Sung Woo Kim is a research scientist in Animal Genetic Resources Research Center, National Institute of Animal Science, South Korea.
Sung Woo's research focuses on the reproductive biology of gamete development, cryobiology, and cell culture.
He received Ph.D. from Seoul National University in South Korea, 2002. As a member of Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology,
He served as a reviewer for 10 years. He developed transgenic animals in the division of animal biotechnology from 2002 to 2011
and advanced techniques for cryofreezing with semen and oocytes. He was nominated as one of the critical 100 scientists in Korea at
2008 and 2020. He manages the cryopreservation of animal genetic materials of chosen bulls, goats, roosters, dogs, pigs, and horses
and develops a new methodology in cryobiology.
