Sarah Spencer DO, FASAM is the director of the addiction treatment program at the Ninilchik Traditional Council's community clinic. She is board certified in family and addiction medicine has been providing treatment for OUD in rural Alaska for over a decade. Dr. Spencer works with Project HOPE to provide opioid overdose response training and naloxone distribution, and 2016 she became the medical director and founding member of Alaska’s only rural syringe access program in Homer. She is provides family medicine and addiction treatment services at Ninlchik community clinic, including telemedicine to remote native villages. She teaches on addiction issues across the state of Alaska and nationwide. She is a co-author of Alaska's state medication assisted treatment guide and is the state’s senior physician consultant for the SAHMSA funded Opioid Response Network consulting program.
