Sandrine Pirard, MD, PhD, MPH is VP Medical Director for Beacon Health Options in Connecticut, the Administrative Services Organization (ASO) for the Connecticut Behavioral Health Partnership (CT BHP). Dr. Pirard is board-certified in psychiatry (ABPN) and addiction medicine (ABPM) with clinical, research, public health, and managed care expertise. She completed her postgraduate training at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School. In addition to her medical degree, she obtained a PhD through the University of Liège, Belgium based on her research work completed at Harvard Medical School on the ASAM Criteria and a Master of Public Health (MPH) at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Pirard has held clinical positions at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and University of Maryland Health Center and worked for the US Department of Human and Health Services (HHS) at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
