Amelita Woodruff, MD of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Sports Medicine from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She obtained her Medical Degree from the Medical College of Georgia/University of Georgia in Athens, GA. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL and is currently completing her Fellowship in Hospital Internal Medicine with plans to work as an academic hospitalist. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves to travel, having traveled to over 20 countries and done study abroads or rotations in multiple countries including Nepal, Peru, and China.
