David Mendez, MD is a core faculty physician in the Addiction Medicine Fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. He completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical school. He then moved to Denver to complete his Family Medicine residency at the University of Colorado. He loved the mountains of Colorado that he decided to stay and complete his fellowship in Addiction Medicine at the same institution. A son of Mexican immigrant parents, he is interested in continuing to work and expand research within Spanish speaking populations.
