Graduate Research Assistant
Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Louisiana State University
I am an electrical engineer with a master’s degree in biomedical engineering who has been always fascinated by the electrical communications and branching in the human body. I acquired most of my research experience through my graduate studies. I worked within a multidisciplinary research group, consisting of pharmacologists, neurobiologists, biophysicists, and electrical and biomedical engineers. So far, I have acquired a lot of knowledge in the biomedical reserach field and am eager to apply it in the veterinary clinical medicine in my PhD program in LECOR, LSU. I am currently working on a couple of projects including studying the shoeing effect on the biomechanics of laminitic horses. I will be developing a new set of skills in different areas including regenerative medicine, tissue engineering as well as biomechanical and motion studies. Being involved with such an innovative broad research will allow me to build numerous experiences while working towards improving our society’s overall health which utterly fits with my major goals.
