I, John Cheng, am currently a Phd candidate at the Nihon University (https://www.nihon-u.ac.jp/en/academics/graduates/vm/) and own a Japanese DVM license.
Born in 1993, I am a graduate of the National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan (www.nchu.edu.tw). I came to Japan to study veterinary medicine on a five-year full scholarship sponsored by the Japanese government starting from 2019.
With licenses valid in both Taiwan and Japan, I have gained much hands-on experience in clinical practice for the past 6 years. My research interests include cardiac surgery in small animals and silk-based artificial vascular graft.
I speak Chinese, Japanese, and English and have been hired as a Japanese-Chinese interpreter on college seminar occasions. I am also assisting local veterinary cardiac surgeons in promoting Japanese cardiac surgery expertise internationally.
