Dr. Duerr oversees the orthopedic medicine and mobility service at Colorado State University (CSU) and is passionate about finding new treatment options for animals with mobility concerns. He believes that clinical research can not only improve the health of individual animals, but also make a difference for other pets and the people on the other end of the leash. His passion is solving musculoskeletal problems that impact quality of life, and he has a particular interest in injury prevention and osteoarthritis. Dr. Duerr completed his veterinary degree in Germany followed by internships in Canada and a surgery residency at CSU. He spent several years in private practice before returning to academia in 2011. He is a Diplomate of both the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
