Dr. Arnold is a 1998 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY, in 1999 and a surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center in 2002. Following a lectureship in large animal surgery at Texas A&M, she joined the faculty at Kansas State University as a clinical-track assistant professor. She returned to Texas A&M in 2006, became an associate professor in 2015 and completed a PhD in 2020. Her clinical work is on equine soft tissue surgery, while her research efforts are focused on the equine gastrointestinal microbiome in states of health and disease.
